Steamed Bread Pudding for One

A delicious way to make stale bread appealing.

Ingredients

1 egg
1-2 slices bread
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon maple syrup, honey, or brown sugar (sorta optional)

Optional, pick one or a few
2 tablespoons chopped cashews or other nuts
1 tablespoon raisins
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Directions

In a heat-proof bowl, mug, or ramekin that will fit in your steamer, whisk or fork the egg. Add the milk, sweetener, and any optional spices, and mix again.

Cut the bread into cubes, and gently stir it in along with any other optional ingredients.

Wait a minute so the bread can absorb.

Steam for about 15 min, or until solid in the middle when you check with a utensil. Cool a little and enjoy.
